Welcome to The Moody Mom! A blog about me for you!
Who are you?
You are a fellow mom trying to find your way through this messy thing called motherhood!
Please look around, and don’t forget to leave a comment!
Montana – The Moody Mom – Thats me!
I am 29 years old and was born on Vancouver Island where I had lived most of my life. I moved to Vancouver in January 2017 in search of a better life for myself, and boy did I find it!
I have two Children – My son Layton is 9 & my daughter Marlow is 5 months, and I have a wonderful supportive partner – Michael.
I live a program of recovery – this means that I do not drink alcohol, use illicit drugs, or smoke cigarettes. My recovery is very important to me and has to come first in my life in order for me to be a present mother, partner, sister, and daughter. I am not ashamed of it, I do not hide it, it just is a part of my story.
Family is the most important thing to me, for I would be nowhere without them. I hope to pass on that value to my own children as they grow up in their own journeys of this thing called life.
I was having a conversation with a fellow mama friend the other day about making homemade baby food, and she asked me if I would do a live video showing her and some other new mama’s how to do it & Alas, this page came to be!
When you are a new mom, everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) wants to give you advice, and I think there is a lot of pressure put on new moms to be this image of “the perfect parent” – NEWS FLASH – there is no perfect parent! This is just about me sharing what works (and doesn’t work) for my family. I will share recipes, My MUST HAVE baby gear, stories, and whatever else pops in to this mind of mine!
Please take what you can use from it – and throw the rest away!
My goal here is to share my real life journey in motherhood – the good, the bad, and the ugly in hopes that fellow mama’s will take the pressure off themselves and just be who they are. Who WE are.
If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.
All the best,
Montana – The Moody Mom
